Not only do we help you with building a clientele that will stay with you long term, we also offer job assistance when you are nearing your graduation date. It is reasonable to leave our training making $30+/hour based on your skill level*. You will be shown the exact path to grow your clientele quickly, and turn that into a highly successful career for years to come.
Cons: tuition is a larger investment in the beginning and the schedule is not as flexible. The state does require more hours for an apprentice (375) then a nail school student (300). Grants and traditional student loans are not accepted.
traditional nail school
Pros: School is a great way to earn your nail license quickly with a small beginning investment. Grants, scholarships and student loans are usually available to help with tuition and the school schedule can be flexible with yours.
Cons: Typically you are in a class of 10+ students per one instructor. The school sets your client pricing based as a whole, not on an individual’s skill, and the student receives no compensation for the services offered (not allowed by the state). The student kit given by a school is usually very small with low-grade nail products due to a lower tuition fee. A schools curriculum is usually based off the states curriculum suggestions only, not necessarily on current nail trends and techniques. Typically, upon leaving school more education is required on the students part with additional product and equipment investments in order to start a successful nail career.
our takeaway
While an apprenticeship is a higher investment than traditional nail school, the education and kit the student receives are vastly different. While neither route can guarantee your success (it’s ultimately up to you), our apprenticeship course offers you a definite advantage and equips you with all the right tools and knowledge to put your best foot forward.
